Classwatch Editing/Saving your video lesson
Setting up for editing
- Book the Classwatch case for the period you want to edit it (you must edit if from here).
- IT will need to have opened it, and logged in using their admin username/password. (They should also have taken the circular speaker from inside the case and plugged it into the USB port to enable you to hear audio).
Editing
- Click on the “workstation” icon.
- On the left of the screen are the icons for camera 1, camera 2, and all microphones (lapel, case, and desk mics).
- Click, hold, and drag 1 camera icon that you wish to play the video through onto the right hand space.
- Hover over the video, right click, and select “show play back view”.
- Then, one by one, click and drag any other icons you choose and drop them into the 1st camera view.
- Hover over any of the video and right click, and select ‘view mode’ and choose how you wish to see the videos whilst editing.
- Hover over the video, right click again, and select “activity search”.
- Use the tab that pops up: click on “day”. Then select the day you were videoed on by double clicking at the start of that time bar.
- Scroll back over to the video view, and press play.
- You can remove a camera or microphone as needed by hovering over it, right clicking, and selecting “close”.
(NB. When you save a clip, as detailed below, it will save using the cameras and mics you currently have open.)

- Remove your USB and take your clip(s)!
(NB. For the multiple scree/camera playback to work on other laptops/desktops, you will have to ask IT to download the “VLC Media Player” onto the laptop/desktop you are playing if from. You can play it anywhere using a single camera view.)
