Basic checks

Check 1 -FHSAD not available

If FHSAD is not available restart the laptop and try logging in again. If you still cannot log in submit a ticket and a member from IT Services will come and check the laptop.

 

Check 2 – Missing Home Drive

If you cannot see your home drive, do the following:

1 – Log out  

2 – Resart laptop

3 – Log in

IF YOU STILL CANNOT SEE YOUR HOME DRIVE TRY THESE STEPS NEXT

1 – Go to GroupWise and change your password

2 – Log out  

3 – Log in

If you still cannot see your Home Drive submit a ticket and a member from IT Services will come and check the laptop.

 

Check 3 – Battery

If an Orange light is flashing when you turn the laptop on, the laptop needs to be plugged into the charger. 

OR

If the laptop is not starting up plug into charger as it may not be charged

Check 4 – Blue Screen

If the laptop has a blue screen it MUST be reported to helpdesk as soon as possible.

Check 5 – Faulty Laptop

Any laptop that have missing keys, broken screen, or other problems MUST be reported to IT SERVICES by submiting a ticket and left in the faulty bay for a Technician to come and collect it.
