Classwatch - Editing/ Saving your lesson video

Setting up for editing

  •          Book the Classwatch case for the period you want to edit it (you must edit if from here).
  •          IT will need to have opened it, and logged in using their admin username/password. (They should also have taken the circular speaker from inside the case and plugged it into the USB port to enable you to hear audio).

Editing

  •          Click on the “workstation” icon.
  •          On the left of the screen are the icons for camera 1, camera 2, and all microphones (lapel, case, and desk mics).
  •          Click, hold, and drag 1 camera icon that you wish to play the video through onto the right hand space.
  •          Hover over the video, right click, and select “show play back view”.
  •          Then, one by one, click and drag any other icons you choose and drop them into the 1st camera view.
  •          Hover over any of the video and right click, and select ‘view mode’ and choose how you wish to see the videos whilst editing.
  •          Hover over the video, right click again, and select “activity search”.
  •          Use the tab that pops up: click on “day”. Then select the day you were videoed on by double clicking at the start of that time bar.
  •          Scroll back over to the video view, and press play.
  •          You can remove a camera or microphone as needed by hovering over it, right clicking, and selecting “close”.

(NB. When you save a clip, as detailed below, it will save using the cameras and mics you currently have open.)

Saving a clip
